AMRITSAR: Hundreds of Indian Christians assembled at Indo-Pak international border at Attari on Saturday to demonstrate against the death sentence awarded to Aasia Bibi, a Pakistani Christian, for committing blasphemy. 
The activists of Christian Front Punjab (CFP) from various parts of Punjab asked the Pakistani government to revoke its orders of capital punishment awarded to Aasia Bibi. They also urged the international community to press upon the Pakistan government to scrap its blasphemy law. The protesters said that the blasphemy law in Pakistan was misused to settle personal scores. read more »

Asia Bibi, the Christian woman who triggered a blasphemy furore in Pakistan and in whose defence Punjab governor Salman Taseer lost his life, is facing a threat of a suicide attack inside a jail, where she is currently lodged.
The "Moaviya group", a militant organisation plans to mount a suicide attack on Sheikhupura district jail, where 45-year-old Asia is being held, The Express Tribune quoted its sources as saying. An intelligence report issued last week has corroborated threat to her life. read more »
Lahore, Nov 26 -Pakistani Muslims threatened protests and anarchy if the government pardons a Christian mother sentenced to death for blasphemy, calling hundreds of demonstrators onto the streets today.
Demonstrators marched in the eastern city of Lahore after the most influential Sunni Muslim alliance in Pakistan urged the government not to grant mother-of-five Aasia Bibi clemency. read more »
