Surathkal - Mangalore (Karnataka): Mr. Adiveppa, a Christian in Surathkal, planned to have a Christmas dinner for some of his close church members at his residence at Mandapuri in Kodikkare of Surathkal near Mangalore. Accordingly, he invited a dozen of his friends who gathered at his residence on Christmas Day evening, Sunday, 25-12-2011 at about 8.30 pm. After exchange of pleasantries and a short prayer, they began their dinner. But to their utter shock their dinner had to come to an abrupt end.  read more »

Badravathy(Shimoga District-Karnataka)-16th December-11pm
Nearly 50 activists activists today (16th December) at about 8pm trespassed in to the house of the Badhravathy Baptist Church member ,Venketesh and phsically assaulted assistant Pastor Sagar Guntur ,Church elders .
The perpetrators attacked six women members of the church,four elders and the assistant pastor who was praying in Venketesh's house.  read more »

Kushalanagr-Karnataka
Pastor Titus from Bethel Ministry Church at Kushalnagar, Kodagu district is pastoring the church for the past 10 years.  He shares the word of God to the people in and around Kushalnagar.  About 150 members get together and are worshiping the almighty God in this church every  Sunday.  A church believers named Mr. Mani & Mrs. Janakiyamma aged about 70 and 68 years are a good evangelist and are farmers of that village.  They have four daughters who are all married and have children.  Three - four days in a week Eva..Mani & Mrs. Janakiyamma go the believers houses for prayers and encouragement.

Sajan K George, activist and president of the Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC), who speaks of the "38th anti-Christian attack in Karnataka ", where the BJP government - movement linked to the Hindu wing extremist - does not guarantee safety for religious minorities. He denounces the "complicity of the authorities" and the ease with which extremists flee from the shackles of law. And the sense of impunity, says Sajan K George, is confirmed by the derisory penalties imposed on perpetrators of violence against churches in Mangalore in 2008: all this has ensured a sense of impunity, which "allows fundamentalists to perpetuate their reign of terror and sectarian violence. "
Some young people destroyed a statue of Christ, religious objects and ruined a Bible. One of the vandals even dressed up in the religious vestments. For Mgr. Mukkuzhy the incident has "hurt the sensibilities of the faithful." Christian activist points finger at the state government, which covers up extremist violence.  read more »
