Three teens behind defilement of churches in Mizoram

Three underage boys were found to be behind a series of church defilement in Kolasib in northern Mizoram during the last few months.The accused were handed over to Kolasib police by their parents on Thursday, Kolasib police said.
Their suspicious parents interrogated them and the trio confessed to committing the crime. Then their parents brought them to the police station, sources said.  read more »

Mizoram observes missionary day 113th year of Christianity

January 11 is popularly known as ‘Missionary Day’ to mark ‘Chanchintha Thlenni’ or the arrival of the Gospel in Mizoram.It commemorates the first arrival of Christian missionaries in Mizo soil 118 years ago. Churches across the state observed the 113th Missionary Day here today.
The introduction of alphabets for the Mizo language by two missionaries here was the turning point for the Mizo society, which boasts for having the second highest literate society in the country.  read more »
