GCIC welcomes central government to Introduce Prevention of Communal violence Bill

There is no question of the Union government withdrawing the Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence (Access to Justice and Reparations) Bill, 2011, Corporate Affairs Minister M. Veerappa Moily informed on Sunday.Much had been debated on the Bill since 2005. It had been discussed at all levels of the State. VHP to oppose communal violence bill, says Togadia,Saffron brigade in Karnataka protest


Nagpur /Mangalore Aug 1 -Hitting out at the National Advisory Council (NAC), Vishwa Hindu Parishad's international general secretary, Praveen Togadia, today said the saffron organisation will launch an agitation to oppose the draft `Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence' bill. He alleged that NAC, headed by Sonia Gandhi, was anti-Hindu and it wanted to brand the community as "criminal tribe" through the bill. Such a "draconian" law did not exist even in the Mughal or the British periods, he said.  read more »
