Bangalore: (13-6-11)- After the Feast of Easter, it is supposed to be a practice among some Christians to keep up the spirit of the risen Lord, and have a prayer service in different Christian homes especially on Sundays and other convenient days for a couple of months thereafter. Those who can afford also celebrate it as a sort of a private festival, inviting the poor and the sick, besides their relatives and friends, irrespective of castes or religion, and share a meal, and also give the poor people some clothes and gifts. The program from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. is usually interspersed with prayer, singing, lunch and then the sharing of gifts. This is an annual feature and done in different homes.  read more »
