Udupi: The district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has urged President Pratibha Patil to reject the proposal of the Ranganath Mishra Commission to provide reservation to the Dalits who embraced other religions.
In a memorandum addressed to Ms. Patil and submitted to Deputy Commissioner M.T. Reju, the BJP stated that the commission had been set up by the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government.  read more »
