Mulki – Mangalore (Karnataka): 7th April, ’11: On Monday April 4, ’11, in the evening at about 6.00 p.m, Mulki Circle Inspector Shivaprakash, and Sub Inspector Neelakanta, along with 5 constables visited the Hebron Assembly Church and met the pastor, Pastor I.D.Prasanna and demanded to have a look at some of the documents of the church and the church property, and then took with them some of the church related documents, after very rudely giving them a bit of their mind regarding their church and their prayer services. We understand that they spent more than 3 hours at the church telling them what they should do and also should not do, failing which they should not be held responsible if there were any attacks against them and that they have clear instructions from the higher-ups with regard to whatever they are doing. If things went out of control, they said, that they would be also forced to close down their church.
They were told in unequivocal terms that only Christian Believers must be allowed inside the church and stop Hindu Believers from coming to the church, otherwise there is bound to be a big problem. They also asked them for information regarding the number of families that attend the church services as well as the members of those families. Then they also questioned them as to how they could use the place for purposes of both as the church and their house, to which the pastor is supposed to have given proper explanation since both have separate door numbers.  read more »
