This is in regards to my father, Revd. CM Khanna, Presbyter-in -charge, All Saint's Church. My father has been arrested on 19th November, 2011 on false accusations.
On 28th, Sharia court made a false claim of force conversion by paying money to poor Muslims. Since then People have uploaded videos on YouTube as well as face book. The video is of baptism and not forced conversion, else there wouldn’t have been any video. Since video has gone viral, I have seen multiple comments of hate against my father. Many people have written "We promise to kill all Christian missionaries and burn their buildings, schools and churches", "I am looking for volunteers to find this man", "Is ka Ilaj sirf Azadi hai", "This man can be found in Tyndale Biscoe", "We should burn this priest to death" and many more.... .. There is no support from govt. to remove this video which is causing communal disharmony. I doubt that my father's, mother's and my own phones are getting taped. It seems someone is trying to provoke people against my father in the name of religion.

On the day of arrest, our church caretaker called me and told that there are two police vans inside the church compound and one outside and they asked our caretaker to give them key. When our caretaker refused, they harassed them by saying that "WE WILL BREAK THE DOORS OF PASTOR'S HOUSE".
In Kashmir, the current temperature is equalizing freezing point and they have arrested my father for false accusation only because he belongs to a minor community. My father is not keeping well as he is taking his daily medicines for his eyes also doctor has recommended him to take vitamins for it. Secondly, my dad is suffering from High Diabetes and is taking daily medicines for this.
Since the day of arrest I doubt that his schedule for intake of medicines may have gone bad which may affect his health in extreme cold weather of Srinagar, Kashmir. My father was able to talk to me and he was continuously coughing and sounded very disappointed, after asking him the reason, he told the behaviour of the doctor recommended by police was arrogant. He also told that he is ready to stay in arrest state for more time but needs to move immediately to Jammu as he fears threat to his life in Srinagar. My father told that he feels that someone has planned this plot.
Few anonymous source called in and told that police has been beating the baptized believers in this cold temperature and forcefully made them sign on a blank sheet. Today I heard news that some Mr. Ganai has told that he is running some NGO of Reverend CM Khanna, where as my dad doesn’t even knows which NGO is that.
My mom doesn't allows me to go out as she feels danger because of barbaric reaction of Police. The police is required to protect us, not oppress us. My father is an old man born in January 1947. Looking at his age, I must say this is Humiliation as well as mental and physical harassment to him.
MY FATHER HAS NOT PAID ANY MONEY TO CONVERT. The monthly salary of my father is 6600/- rupees only, how can he pay to others when I myself being his son do not even own a cheap car. Please pray for my father’s safety.
