Nehru Nagar-Indore (M.P): On Wednesday, 21-12-11 Pastor Dilip Wadia (32) in Charge of Light Giving Church was invited by his brother- in-law, Kailash Gormeys (42), to his house in Nehru Nagar, Indore. Pastor Dilip, accordingly, went Nehru Nagar with his family and some other believer friends – altogether about 24 people - 4 men and 20 kids and ladies put together. The program was going on at the terrace. In addition to their usual prayers, they also planned to screen a film on the life of Jesus. While the film show was on, they noticed a stranger present at the meeting taking photos and also talking to someone on his mobile all the time during the program.
When Pastor Dilip and his team-mate Dinesh went down to inquire with Kailash, they learnt that he was one Babulal Nihore (40) from the RSS. In the mean time Babuklal also followed them downstairs and joined another 12 RSS workers waiting for him. They surrounded Dilip and Dinesh and started accusing them of forcibly converting people and also began physically attacking them with their fists and kicking them. Though they were carrying huge sticks with them, fortunately they did not use them. All of this went on for nearly an hour, and somehow, Pastor Dilip managed to escape from there and go to the Nehru Nagar MIG Police Station which was nearby. He briefed the police as to what was happening in his brother-in-law’s house and lodged a complaint. The police rushed to the spot in a van and began investigating into the incident. When they saw the police rushing in, the RSS workers also became quiet. In the mean time the RSS workers somehow wanted to carry away the projector and the CD player, but one of the brothers who could read their minds, quietly took it away and hid it.
In the attack Dilip and Dinesh were wounded. Later in the night around 10:00 pm, Dilip and Dinesh went to the Nehru Nagar M.I.G police station and complained against the RSS workers, but in the mean time they found out that the RSS workers had already complained, and also an FIR was filed against them under sections - 323, 294 and 506 against Dilip and his team members. The Police also took down the complaint against the RSS workers and filed an FIR under sections – 452, 323, 294, 295, 147, 148, 190 and 506 against the RSS workers. We also understand that all attempts are being made for a compromise between the two sides. Please pray for them.
