Kerala police receive e-mail threat from Soudi Arabia?

Thiruvananthapuram, Wednesday, July 07, 2010: Eight top officials of the State police, including the DGP, received a threat via e-mail last Saturday stating that explosions would rock three main cities in Kerala. In the mail, the NIA and State police have been accused of targeting the leaders of Muslim community.

The police have been warned that the explosions would occur at the end of this month, the police have informed the Central investigation agencies including NIA regarding the threat. The police have initiated efforts to locate the sender of the mail. The primary assumption is that the mail would have been sent using a fake ID.

The matter has been taken up seriously and the State police department is hoping to trace the source of the mail with the help of Central intelligence agencies.
