A youth meet was organised by "Yuva Shakti - Kandhamal", on 4--5 Feb 2012, at Divyajyoti Pastoral Centre at konjamendi. It was attended by more than 200 christian youth belonging to all denominations.The youth prayed, played, danced, sang songs, discussed.Global Council of Indian Christians(GCIC) actively engaged in bringing back normalcy in Kandhamal and involved in this peace movement also.

It was held in a very good ambience - well decorated welcome gates, stages, etc and excelant light and sound system. The music troupe was very good.
. Theme of the meet was "career guidance" Eminent speakers and pastors gave inspiring talks too. They had good food too. Fr Prassanno Pradhan, director and Fr Bimal Nayak, asst director of the pastoral centre guided the youth. The whole programme was managed by the youth. Before the closing ceremony on 5th night, the youth elected new office bearers of the "Yuva Shankti". The new office bearers took oath of office too.
