Raipur, Nov 24 (Chhatisgargh)A tantrik couple were among eight persons arrested for sacrificing two children in Durg district of Chhattisgarh to gain "occult power", .

Tantrik Ishwari Yadav, his wife Kiranbai and their six disciples have been apprehended on charges of sacrificing two-year-old boy Chiraj and a girl, Manisha (6), for attaining occult powers and wealth.
They killed Chiraj yesterday and Manisha was murdered eight months ago in Ruhabandha area of Bhilai town, District Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar told over phone.

One accused is absconding, he added.

According to Kumar, Chirag's father Poshan Rajput, a labourer, had yesterday filed a missing report about his son.

"While searching for the boy, we came to know that Chirag was spotted in the house of Yadav, who lived in the same locality," he said.
