On July 21 nearly 150 Hinduvta extremists stormed St. Gabriel Senior Secondary school in Jabalpur, shouted slogans, vandalized property and smashed window panes.

The extremists reaction was provoked by an alleged suicide attempt by a student who jumped from the first floor window after he was summoned to the principal's office for his alleged role in in planting rotten eggs near the chalkboard in his class.

The extremists accused the school of harassing students and demanded immediate closure of the school.
