Five evangelists in Bangalore jailed for pamphleteering -GCIC condemns bigotry

In yet another shocking incident, five evengelists in Karnataka were arrested on false conversion charges, on Friday, April 1st at 1.30.

Evangelists Vincent(30),Johnson(28),Satyan(23),Naveen (23) and Vinod(30) , were arrested on false creating communal conflict under Indian Penal code various sections of IPC. including 295 A,149 section 143,341 and 506 charges of conversion while sharing good news at the place of Nagaraja and Muniappa on invitation at Virupashnagara

Over a dozen people along with Prashanth belonging to a Hindu extremist organisation created a rucks and falsely complained in the Kodihalli police station against the five innocent evangelists.The evangelists were detained for a mock enqiury at the instance of Prashanth,the right wing Hindutva laeder. The evangelists were produced before the magistrate and later the five victims of bigotry were send to the Bangalore central jail.The evangelists were insulted and mocked in front of the police.The PSI of the Kodihalli informed the GCIC Karnataka coordinator that the evangelists were arrested for public nuisance
GCIC cordinator Pastor Gowda is following up the legal recourse for the arrested.Please pray for the incarcerated evangelists
