Evangelist William Lee was sentenced for three days imprisonment, a fine of Rs10000 and deportation to US for alleged violation of tourist visa violation,He is also included in the ‘black list’ preventing his future visits to India.How ever,the court has ordered to treat his three days remand in the police custody as the jail term.

Americn evangelist William Lee was arrested on Friday and remanded in custody after holding a gospel Music meeting organized by the Faith Leaders, a Kerala-based evangelical group.US evangelist, William Arthur Lee, who was arrested in Kochi last week for alleged violating his visa, was lodged in Ernakulam sub-jail. He was sent to the district hospital and then transferred to Thrissur Medical College on health grounds
