Aaj Tak TV Channel attacked by Hindutva outfit
GCIC strongly condemns the attack by Saffron activists today (16th July) on the office of Aaj Tak, a leading 24/7 Hindi news channel.
Activists of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), attacked the office of Aaj Tak, a leading 24/7 Hindi news channel after i a sting operation broadcast on its sister channel, Headlines Today
On Thursday, July 15 2010, Headlines Today “had exposed how elements in the saffron brigade had plotted Vice-President Hamid Ansari's assassination and attacks on minorities and had links with the Mecca Masjid and Ajmer Sharif bomber”.
The personnel of the TV Today Group have opposed the attack and have tagged the workers who attacked the office premise as Saffron Goons muzzling the freedom of expression.
The attack has been condemned by the Information & Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni and media fraternity.
