Dalit Labourer dies of starvation in Orissa

RAIRAKHOL: A Dalit labourer Kapil Hans of Gobindpur village under Tribanpur gram panchayat of Rairakhol block reportedly died of starvation on Tuesday night.
He is survived by his 60- year-old wife Chanchala and two married daughters.
Sources said for the last one week, Kapil was ailing reportedly from malnutrition and starvation and was bedridden.  read more »

Brahmin family ostracised for blessing Dalit couple

Oct 22- Sadashiv alias Shambhu Kale, his wife and three minor children were literally ostracised from Poraskaden village in Pernem taluka.Wonder what their fault was? A basic right, taken for granted with no second thoughts for many, is a struggle for the Bhangi community in Savanur.
