Pastors and Believers Beaten up by Hindu Radicals in Bihar

Jahanabad - Patna, Bihar: 03-02-2015 – Good News Center Church at Jahanabad near Patna in Bihar was having its usual Sunday Service on 11th January and about hundred people were participating in the service. Pastor Kamalesh Kumar, 35, was preaching. Just as the congregation began praying, about 60 Hindu fundamentalists belonging to RSS, Bajarang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad outfits of the saffron brigade forced themselves into the prayer hall shouting Hindu religious slogans like Jai Ram etc. They then caught hold of Pastor Kamlesh Kumar and started beating him. They also took the mike and bashed him with it. The pastor was badly wounded in his left leg and the left ear affecting his hearing.

Mumbai (AsiaNews) - The Bihar Police have arrested four people accused of forcing a Dalit family to convert to Islam. A complaint was lodged by Yasoda Devi, resident of the village of Rampur Khurd, against seven people. In the First Information Report (FIR), the woman said that some villagers forcibly converted her husband, Rajkishore Ram, and that he had received death threats if she failed to embrace Islam.
