Kandhamal (Orissa): This is the story of a believer couple in a village in Kandhamal in Orissa, where the father supports his son and the daughter-in-law, but the mother is hell-bent upon teaching them a lesson to them. Their sad story was reported in our website some time ago as to how Satyaban Nayak stood firmly by his wife when they were dragged by the villagers to the village square at the instigation of their revengeful mother, and how she openly attacked them physically and verbally using the filthiest language. The incident repeated again on 2-9-11, Friday, when Satyaban’s wife Sarojini was drawing water near the village well. Her mother-in-law, Bangu Dei starts abusing her and also provoked other village women to join her in her attack against Sarojini, for continuing with her practice of Christianity.
