Mangalore christians , southern India, have won over the local administration by voluntarily demolishing an old church for a social cause.consistently Christians have sacrificed their places of worship for national interest many occassions in the past.Indian Space Research Organisation(formerly known as Thumba equatorial Rocket Launching station ) is housed in a church near capital city of Kerala.Cochin ship yard is also established in a church.The ambitious sea bird project in Karwar also displaced Christians.  read more »

Hindu fundamentalists yesterday hoisted a saffron flag on the construction site of Catholic Church at Bakingia , one of the largest Christian settlements in Kandhamal district of Orissa.

Right-wing Hindu activists have destroyed Catholic statues in a central Indian diocese, according to Bishop Devprasad Ganawa of Jhabua.
He said a group of Hindu fundamentalists intercepted a vehicle transporting the statues from Indore to St. Michael Church, Jhapadra and assaulted the driver and two others before breaking the statues.  read more »
