New York: March 24, 2011. (PCP) The leaders of Pakistani Christians
Association in North America PCA have announced here today to rally and
offer Memorial Service of Martyr Shahbaz Bhatti, Federal Minister for
Minorities, government of Pakistan, today in front of United
Nations Offices in New York.Bro. Shabaz Bhatti was killed by the Islamic terrorists for his stand against the scandalous blasphemy laws in Pakistan
PCA Chairman Mr. William Shahzad, President Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, Secretary
General Babar Khokhar and Director James Gill appealed to Christians living
in Tri-State area to gather in front on UN Building at 12:00 Noon on March
24, 2011, to pay homage to Martyr Shahbaz Bhatti, who was gunned down in
Islamabad by Tehreek Talaban Punjab on March 2, 2011.
The PCA leaders urged government of Pakistan to arrest killers of Shahbaz
Bhatti to ensure justice till March 23, 2011, because TTP have already
accepted responsibility of attacking and murdering Christian leader.
PCA President Dr. Nazir S Bhatti said that Pakistani Christians Association
in North America PCA will raise issue of forming Judicial Commission to
investigate murder of Shahbaz Bhatti in a special Memorandum to Secretary
General UN Mr. Ban-ki Moon on March 24, 2011, protest if government of
Pakistan fails to arrest killers till March 23, 2011.
The PCA also announced that major Pakistani Christian Churches in NY, NJ and
CT states will participates in March 24, 2011, protest and Memorial Service
where Pastors will perform Memorial Service at 2:00 PM, in front of UN
Building.
Fr. Ilyas Gill, leader of Catholic Pakistani Apostate in Brooklyn New York,
Pastor Aslam Daniel, Pastor Parvez Khokhar, Pastor Aneel Mall, and Pastor
Farooq Jan will offer special prayers in Memorial Service of Shahbaz Bhatti.
A delegation of PCA, PCC and Church leaders shall present Memorandum to
Secretary General UN at 3;00 PM after protest and Memorial Service.
The Names of Participating Churches, Pastors and Pakistani Christian leaders
will announced on March 22, 2011, after a representative meeting of
Christian dignitaries which is being called this evening in New York.
