The Karnataka Regional Conference of Religious during its meeting this week seeks to empower Religious to respond to the challenges faced by the Church in Karnataka state.

Empowering Religious to respond to the challenges faced by the Church in Karnataka will be the priority when Conference of Religious India’s state unit meets this week in Mangalore.

The Karnataka Regional Conference of Religious (KRCR) is scheduled to meet June 24-27. Some 100 religious from across the state are expected to gather in Mangalore, which witnessed anti-Christian violence in 2008.

All the major superiors of various religious congregations working in Karnataka will come together for the meeting.

“They will try to solve the problems faced by the religious among themselves, with the Government, with the clergy and the laity,” Father Archibald Gonsalves, President of KRCR said.

The discussions will be based on the theme: ‘Harmony’– Harmony within self, within Society and with God.
