November 12, 2011 is International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church!
Global Council of Indian Christians(GCIC) invite you to spend time on Sunday lifting up those who are persecuted for their faith in Christ
Praveen Togadia ,a radical Hindu anti-Christian activist is warning Indians, “If you convert to Christianity, you will be beheaded.”.In the year 2008 over 100 Pastors and leaders were martyred for their faith in Christ.Global council of Indian Christians(GCIC) has tracked / tackled 1556 major attacks against Christians since 2006 in different Indian states. Pray that the martyrdoms and persecution will see a great many villagers place their faith in Jesus.
In Orissa-India, two pastors were martyred this year alone.Attacks against Christians in the southern states continuing un abetted,39 cases of attacks were tracked in the state of Karnataka alone.

Pray for physical healing and protection for the church in India and foor the universal church. Families of the persecuted , and for courage to continue ministering to who need to know Jesus.
Many Local villagers under the influence of radicalised Hindus have threatened to cast Christians out of the village for their faith. Pray for God's provision and protection for these families.
Often empowerment programme by Christians southern India is having trouble meeting because of interference from local Hindutva activists. Pray for the persecutors and perpetrators of crimes against Christians for they do not know what they are doing
