Karnataka Governor H R Bhardwaj has taken exception to the remarks of BJP MLA Prahlad Remani regarding Christianity and Christians in India.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, the Governor has said that he was shocked to learn that at the Independence Day function at Khanapur Tahsildar’s office in Belgaum district, Remani made inflammatory and provocative statements against Christianity and Christians.
It is a clear attempt to spread communal hatred and government must take stern action against the legislator, he said. The alleged statement is not only highly objectionable but also violation of oath of office
